We had such a wonderful day at TES! Several members of Christ Community Church took time out of their day to make breakfast for our amazing teachers and staff members. The burritos were delicious! Thank you for making us feel so special. Your thoughtfulness really made our day!

The Career Fair on February 24th, was the first of its kind at Tularosa High School, with over 72 presenters and more than 32 local and regional businesses represented on our campus. More than 269 high school students were able to select the career topics of their choice for 11 different 15 minute presentation sessions from 8am - 12pm that day to ensure it was the most individualized and appropriate use of their time in the exploration of career opportunities in our area. This event would not have been possible without the team work, supervision and assistance of our 37 high school staff members who provided support for all presenters that day as well. We greatly appreciate Ms. Bernino's ProStart students for creating a wonderful hospitality experience for all our presenters, Mr. Baker for creating plaques for each of our presenters using the school’s new GlowForge, and Ms. Bussiere's Yearbook students for capturing wonderful images from this event. The Career Fair will most certainly be an annual event at Tularosa High School, which we are already planning to expand next year due to the overwhelming demand from local & regional businesses who would like to participate. If your business would like to participate with TMS in the future, please reach out to our Director of Career & Technical Education via email shara.montoya@tularosak12.us or call 575-740-2434. Thank you again to all our business partners for making this Career Fair a huge success for our students!

I am sure most have seen the news release on our employee, he has been employed here since August 2022. He was arrested Friday afternoon in La Luz. Yesterday's Shelter in Place, was the police looking for a man in the surrounding neighborhood. This incident had nothing to do with our employee. I can say that he has been employed in schools since 2004 and he has passed background checks and reference checks in our school and 2 other schools in New Mexico. At Tularosa schools we take the safety of all our students seriously, and we have protocols in place to help ensure the safety of our students and staff. W. Todd Lindsay

Way to go to Angel Kowatch-Coney and Savannah Manzanares who represented Tularosa High School at the New Mexico English Expo in Albuquerque today. The team took 3rd and 4th in book covers and 4th in descriptive writing among hundreds of New Mexico students. This is Tularosa's first year to compete in this competition and they did fantastic. Each student chooses two contests to compete in from the twenty-four contests in writing, skills, speaking, and artistic expression. Thank you Melanie Bussiere for providing this opportunity to our students!
